Help the Chibok girls

Each of us can use our voice to assist these brave girls who are victims of terrorism resolved to continue their education. You can be personally involved in the life and world-changing mission of the Education Must Continue Initiative by informing your network about the injustices to women and girls who have been victims of terrorism. Did you know that Boko Haram has deployed over 105 female bombers in three countries since the Chibok abductions? That is about 2 girls each week for the last 22 months! Incidentally, EMC has existed for that same time – and put 3000 kids in school. We can change the world, one conversation and one book at a time.

Take it one step further and make a substantial impact, involve the youth in contributing toward these girls’ education. Your nonprofit, local civic group or ministry can sponsor education for a girl for a semester or for a year. This type of personal engagement by our youth and civic groups provides teachable moments to inspire those who help and remind them of the value of the opportunity of education.
This year, the girls’ initial two-year study program ends but they still have a way to go. Your generous gift would enable us extend their program in the US for four more years. EMC rents no offices and is a volunteer-run charity to give you the greatest value for your donation. Most EMCI’s team are victims helping other victims. There is no major donor or government funds.

You can directly help the girls who have escaped terrorism and come to the US through either:
  • Embrace Loudoun (Click the Donate button on the right, then type “Nigerian: Bringing Our Girls Back to School” in the Comments Box) | click here
  • A Go Fund Me page has been set up for their cause | click here

Let’s all do our parts in our relative corners of the globe to counter terrorism, one book at a time! Together, we can literally change the world.

I am only one, but I am still one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.
